How far can you "push" the Project Puppet patterns and still be within the guidelines of the contest?

You can change the patterns beyond recognition if you wish...in fact, that's the idea. The requirement for the contest is that you begin with an unaltered Simple Series pattern...then you can change it, add to it, splice it and dice it, any way your heart desires. If you are worried that the judges may question whether it was built using a Simple Series pattern, then take a few pictures during the construction process and send those along with your entry.
