Welcome Fellow Citizens of the World!

Welcome to Project Puppet's fifth annual puppet contest! This year's theme is HEROES & VILLAINS.

It's a bird, it's a plane...no, it's a puppet super hero!? Yes, that's right, time once again for those AMAZING puppet building adventures to begin! The world is in dire need of super heroes (and villains for the super heroes to fight)... Hmmm, maybe we should just leave things alone. Nah! Get out that Simple Series puppet pattern from Project Puppet and put those super human puppet-making skills to good use. Create your own original super hero (or villain) to secure peace (or chaos) for the citizens of the world! What are you waiting for?

Below is a brief version of the rules. BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ENTRY YOU MUST READ THE COMPLETE CONTEST RULES.

The Rules (The Short Version)

All entries must be received by September 17, 2010.

The puppet must be made from one of the Simple Series patterns from Project Puppet.

The basic unaltered head and body shape (specific to each pattern) should be used as a base or starting point for the character. The arms and hands may be altered or entirely different. Legs and feet may be added if you wish. The puppet must be an original character. Feel free to utilize any of the Puppet Building Tutorials available at Project Puppet.

Your submission must include:

  • Four or more digital photos of the puppet.
  • A short write-up consisting of one or two paragraphs including the puppet's name and a description of the puppet's character or personality.
  • Your name (the creator) and e-mail address.

All qualifying Submissions will be posted on PuppetContest.com. The entries will be narrowed down by an initial public vote. The Top Ten Finalists will then be displayed for the second and final vote to determine the winners. The voting periods will be limited, and are outlined in the Complete Contest Rules.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $200.00 USD cash prize from Project Puppet. The First Runner-Up will receive a $100.00 USD credit with Project Puppet that may be used to purchase any of the current patterns available or reserved for future pattern releases.
