Welcome Earthlings!

 

Welcome to Project Puppet's third annual puppet contest! This year's contest is entitled – Puppet Contest 2008: A Space Odyssey. You guessed it! It's time to get that Simple Series Puppet Pattern out and create your own original character from OUTERSPACE. We've got great prizes, a stellar line up of judges, and a universe full of inspiration.

 

Below is a brief version of the rules. BEFORE SUBMITTING YOR ENTRY YOU MUST READ THE COMPLETE CONTEST RULES.

The Rules (Warp Speed Version)

All entries must be received by November 1, 2008.

The puppet must be made from one of the Simple Series patterns from Project Puppet.

The basic head and body shape (specific to each pattern) may not be altered and should be used as a base or starting point for the character. The arms and hands may be altered or entirely different. The puppet must be an original character. Feel free to utilize any of the Puppet Building Tutorials available at Project Puppet.



Your submission must include:

  • Four to six digital photos of the puppet.
  • A short write-up consisting of one or two paragraphs including the puppet's name and a description of the puppet's character or personality.
  • Your name (the creator) and e-mail address.

The Top Ten Finalists will have their Submissions posted on PuppetContest.com for the public to vote for the winner. The voting period will be limited, and will be announced at the start of the voting period.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive a $200.00 USD cash prize from Project Puppet. The First Runner-Up will receive a $100.00 USD credit with Project Puppet that may be used to purchase any of the current patterns available or reserved for future pattern releases.
